The sewer lateral is the one pipe nobody thinks about until it backs up. We run a camera down the line to see exactly what is happening: roots at a joint, a sag holding water, or a section of old clay tile that has shifted. You see the screen too, so the diagnosis is not something you have to take on faith.
Repeated backups, gurgling floor drains, or a soggy strip of lawn are the usual signs. Cutting roots buys time; fixing the joint they enter through solves it. When digging is the honest answer we say so, mark the spot from the camera footage, and keep the excavation as small as the repair allows.
